"Léger und Laurens - Tête-à-Tête" at the Museum Frieder Burda
From June 23 to November 4, 2012, the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden is presenting an exhibition of Fernand Léger (1881 Argentan–1955 Gif-sur-Yvette) and Henri Laurens (1885 Paris–1954 Paris), whose works had a major influence on art in the first half of the 20th century. The comparison of these two eminent artists enables the visitor to rediscover their respective creative work in two very different but no doubt complementary areas - painting and sculpture.
Concurrent with the large-scale summer exhibition Léger–Laurens. Tête-à-Tête, the Museum Frieder Burda is mounting a studio show of new works by contemporary artist Jean-Michel Othoniel.
